Accessibility Statement for firmchannel.com

Our Commitment

firmChannel is committed to a website that people can use regardless of ability or the technology they rely on. We build the platforms that our partners deploy in hospitals, campuses, and public buildings, where accessibility is not optional, and we hold our own site to the same expectation. Where it falls short, we want to hear about it.

Conformance Status

firmchannel.com partially conforms with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. "Partially conforms" means that most of the site meets the standard and that we have identified specific exceptions, listed below, which we are correcting.

This status is based on an automated self assessment carried out on September 10, 2026 across the site's main page templates. Automated testing checks a large share of WCAG requirements but not all of them. Manual testing with keyboard navigation and screen readers has not yet been completed, and this statement will be updated when it has.

This statement covers the website only. The wayfinding application our partners deploy for their clients on kiosks and visitors' phones is a separate product and conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA; see our accessibility standards page. The firmChannel content management platform is an authoring tool, and the accessibility of content created with it is the responsibility of the organization that creates it.

Scope of This Statement

This statement applies to the public pages of firmchannel.com.

It does not cover:

  • Third party content and services embedded in our pages, such as video players, maps, and chat or form widgets, over which we have limited control
  • Content we link to on external sites
  • The firmChannel content management platform used by partners and their clients to manage their own networks. Accessibility information for our products is on our accessibility standards page

Known Limitations

The automated assessment on September 10, 2026 found the following. Each is being corrected.

  • A form field that appears on several pages is not programmatically labelled. This affects people using screen readers. Until it is corrected, you can reach us by phone at 877-496-1757 or by email at Info@firmchannel.com.
  • Some links on the site have no discernible text, typically icon only links. This affects people using screen readers, who may hear the link without knowing where it goes. The same destinations are reachable through the main navigation and footer.
  • Some text on the contact page does not meet the minimum contrast ratio. This affects people with low vision. The same information is available by phone and email.
  • Some controls on the contact page are smaller than the recommended minimum target size. This affects people with limited dexterity and people using touch screens.
  • An embedded frame on one product page has no accessible title. This affects people using screen readers, who may not know what the frame contains.
  • One element on a product page uses an attribute not permitted for its role. This may cause a screen reader to announce it incorrectly.
  • Third party content embedded in our pages, such as video players and form widgets, may not fully conform, and we have limited control over it.

How This Site Was Assessed

This site was assessed by firmChannel on September 10, 2026, using automated testing (axe-core 4.10.2) against the WCAG 2.2 Level A and Level AA success criteria, across three representative page templates: the home page, a product page, and the contact page. The findings are listed above.

Manual testing with keyboard navigation and screen readers is planned, and this statement will be revised when it is complete. We review this statement annually, and whenever the site changes substantially.
